Held
109 notable of 605 dated releases ahead
Notable
either signal firing. Two are needed because neither works alone: hype is IGDB's count of users waiting on a game, which ranks anticipated originals but scores a beloved back-catalogue port at zero; a Wikipedia article means an editor judged the game notable enough to write up, which catches exactly those ports and remasters
Bold titles
hype of 35 or more — about one release a week, 22% of the notable list. Calibrated so the mark stays scarce enough to be worth scanning for; it says what people are waiting for, never how the game turns out
Dates
committed days only. IGDB files a vague quarter or year as its last day, so “Q4 2026” and “2026” both read as 31 December, and Wikipedia keeps its undated releases in a separate table. Both are filtered out rather than guessed at: without that, December shows hundreds of phantom releases
